Cottage Life – Home & Design Magazine
Friday, August 30th, 2013What Don’t You Like About The Cottages?
Monday, August 19th, 2013We asked Cottage Owners what were some of the things they disliked about The Cottages, and these are some of the responses we got back:
1. When I wake up in the morning, I have a hard time deciding what to do first.
2. I don’t know where to store all the wine I get from visitors coming up for the day.
3. My kids have so many cottage friends and it’s sad to see them upset over who they should play with first.
4. Telling my friends that they can’t come and visit us every single weekend – I need a break sometimes.
5. Seeing my kids crying on the front step not wanting to leave when it’s time to go home.
6. Being double booked for a dinner party and having to disappoint one of my neighbours.
7. When you start missing your kids because they spend hours playing outside, building forts in the forest.
8. Deciding if you want the jacuzzi jets on or off in the hot tub.
9. Running out of side walk chalk.
10. Whether to dine outside on the deck or inside by the fireplace.
11. Having to shop and decide on outdoor furniture with my husband.
12. Having to reposition my sun chair every couple hours.
13. Waking up…I get the best sleeps at the cottage.
“Tall Timbers Park” The Cottages at Cultus Lake!
Tuesday, August 6th, 2013
There is nothing like having your family over to your cottage on a beautiful summer night and exploring our Tall Timbers park!
With lush green forest, breathtaking mountain views, clean fresh air, the scent of ancient cedars, it’s the great outdoors right at your doorstep, literally!
Nestled in the heart of the community is our heavily forested 2 acres “Tall Timbers Park”, the park has a sheltered picnic area where family and friends can gather around for some outdoor dinning and entertaining, running amongst the park is a man made river rock bed ideal for little ones to explore and play a good old fashion game of hide and seek, this serene park brings you back to basics and back to nature!
The setting is beyond idyllic, beckoning you to take a break from everything, spend some quality time with loved ones and take full advantage of “summer time”.
Fire Ban in Effect at Cultus lake
Saturday, August 3rd, 2013Just to all Cultus Lake travellers campers, please take note that there is a Fire Ban in effect. Please keep the flame out for now to ensure a safe trip, and a safe summer!
What does this mean for cottagers? You’ll just have to enjoy your indoor fireplace, which all cottages come equipped with. Alternatively, make your way to The Treehouse and enjoy the indoor fireplace with your neighbours.
So cottagers, there is no need to panic. With just a flick of a switch you’ll still be able to enjoy a fire this long weekend.
